This sharing is how we all learn. It's the purpose of this process.

And an observation. It was not the information that helped Toni. It was her work and insight as shown below that makes it all better for us.

Thank you Toni for being our teacher!!!

> Real interesting, Dr. Bill, is the concept acceptance and attitude.  I've been following your blogs since coming back to your site online and although I will say, it seems some of what you are sharing is over my head, I do know about the Pitta diet, inflammation and the whole digestive tract.

> When I first met you, I just knew you were going to walk back into the room and say, "ok here's a script, take it for 2 weeks, if you aren't better, come back."  Instead you took the time to explain the Pitta diet and all that it entails.  And yes, it was very very difficult staying on tract, giving it six weeks to begin to change my ways, etc., etc.  But then I rebelled.  I would eat or drink things not permitted, not all the time, but I would still do it.  Simply, truly amazing what hard-aged cheese will do to your already sick intestinal tract.  I am blessed that I have not had any further bladder infections and I hope to remain that way for the rest of my life.

> For the past three months, I have been that rebel.  My cause is 'because I am not allowed to have it' so I will.  Yes, I do pay for it down the road, and finally, tonight, I did an indepth meditation, Yoga Nidra, and what was given to me throughout my course of working with you, the two doctors who chose to give up on me, and the guidance of one of the world's best psychologist's is ACCEPTANCE.  We must take that one step, no matter how big or small, into the world of acceptance.  This is how it is, this is how it must be in order to survive and remain healthy.  My attitude is drastically changing and now that I am beginning to accept that the way for my survival and recovery from this horrendous illness, both physically and mentally, is by accepting the foods that will give my intestinal tract the nourishment it needs and the time to rest to heal.  I cannot begin to thank you for what you have given me.  My life
