            Wisdom becomes knowledge when it is personal experience

I am sure that we have all had the experience of someone being so passionate about a topic(in early years it's religion and later it becomes political views)that the person is trying to persuade us that there position is correct.

"Lay off," we say to ourselves. "I understand your position, but I can't buy into the fact that …."

So what about something new, anything new. Do we ignore newness? Yes, that's possible too. But to not embrace anything new keeps us static and slow/dull.

I think the key for us is to try things out and feel for ourselves. So for this whole aspect of trying energy science nutrition, understanding it requires that we try it out.

You see, it's like the saying above; it only will become relevant for us when it becomes a personal experience. Then we have wisdom, that is, knowledge from first hand experience.

Then no matter what someone says, we can say, "I know that works for me, because I know it from my own experience." This is a lifestyle behavior pattern that we all develop to varying degrees through life.

If we feel poorly and then feel better after changing our diet, then we can say, "Works for me."

This is called discrimination, an aspect of the intellect. And it is essential for being able to heal ourselves from an energy science nutritional approach. We have no concept of this in matter science nutritional work-it's all by blind faith. And I don't know anyone these days interested in blind faith.

So as they say in Missouri, "Show me." Not soooo fast. Show yourself.

Convince yourself. Then no matter what anyone says, does, cajoles, coaxes, or manipulates, we know it is true for us. 

The importance for this is that it becomes our truth when making selections at the grocery store. No book, piece of paper, person, or recent article in Ladies Home Journal will be our authority. The authority is your knowingness. Your wisdom.

No one will convince you that the energy science nutritional approach is good for you. You will convince yourself.

Metabalance

Intuitively we all know as we go through life the important thing is to have balance.

The energy sciences can give this guidance because they are sciences of qualities and their opposites. The key is to be neither too hot nor too cold, neither too sharp nor too dull, neither too heavy nor too light etc. Amazingly as we work with these 10 pairs of opposites and observe them with mindbody functioning, they become self validating from energy science nutrition to emotions and relationships.

From a matter science view we can offer no guidelines for living in balance, save for scattered studies suggesting harmful behaviors such as sleeping patterns.

The crucial element of energy health is to try to strike a balance in all we do from nutrition, exercise, gastrointestinal function and elimination patterns, work, rest and of course awareness. All this requires us to be aware of our lifestyle choices that promote balance. 

So the energy sciences offer guidelines that promote balance in life. When's the best time to go to bed; when's the best time to take the biggest meal of the day; what foods bring balance to my mindbody physiology; what's the best time to exercise; why are some relationships imbalancing and others nourishing and wholesome?

This all occurs not as a static process but as a process in the ever changing flux field we call life.

Meta- means change, so metabalance translates as "bringing about balance through the changing energy field we call life."

We begin metabalance by working on energy science nutrition and diet. This will affect change for the best and will begin restoring balance in our mindbody physiology.

Becoming Comfortable With Metaphysical Science

Science as practiced in medicine today involves both experimental and applied, the latter of which is how physicians do their job through disciplined research. It often involves the use of the scientific method in order to gain knowledge.

In essence it is man's attempt to advance his knowledge about the world he lives in.

But when science becomes authoritarian because Nature should act according to universal and fixed rules, science itself becomes unrealistic, pernicious and detrimental. Through quantum physics we know today that Nature is not fixed and rigid; yet today's biological science and its model is fixed and rigid.

Metaphysical science is understanding a reality beyond the observable physical universe. This is very uncomfortable for today's matter scientists. There may be even fear that their way of seeing the world is incomplete and that the control they have is shaken, that is, maybe their view of the world is not as complete as they think and that the model which they used is archaic.

This sounds like heresy from a matter science doctor but we have to assume the above in order to move on and advance our knowledge of the human biology if we are to advance as a species on the planet.

Energy nutrition's fundamental tenets are derived from a metaphysical science or an energy science approach. Why? Because the energy world which it studies is beyond the physical universe which seems so reassuringly real.

And this is not to negate either the matter or the energy sciences but to ask for a marriage. Now that's love.

So here's to a new reality, a new science of seeing the human biology!

Contradictory Matter Science Behavior

A frustrated patient told me of her PBS viewing experience with two physicians who were talking about nutritional information. One offered that spinach was good selection for healthy nutrition and within an hour another physician stated that it was not good.

In urological literature tomatoes are good one year for prostate health and not good the next.

The matter science response is "The jury is still out on this one. We don't have enough molecular information." But don"t hold your breath. Not all foods are good for all people from an energy nutritional perspective.

Right now the consumer is trying very hard to make the right choices about nutrition but this inconsistency is bringing a lack of trust and faith in the molecular information delivered.

What's the consumer to do? Wait until there is more information?

The energy science nutritional format is the answer. You see from an energy view, the choice of foods is dependent on who you energetically are. For example, a diet with a lot of spinach could be a choice for Pitta Vata Pitta Kapha in moderation due to the excess hot quality of the vegetable, aggravating Pitta if taken excessively. Moderation means at most one to two times per week, but if more than that there will be the development of too much of the hot quality and hence produce imbalance.

The energy nutritional dictum is, "It's not the foods that are the molecular culprit but who energetically is choosing the foods."

Right! Who says this isn't any better than all the other nutritional schemes that we have followed that this is the answer.

The reason I can be so bold is because the matter science nutritional approach is incomplete. Notice I said incomplete not wrong. It is a molecular approach to food when the biologic model of the human physiology is both a matter and energy field. To use strictly a molecular nutritional approach to help the imbalances of an energy field is incomplete and fraught with inconsistency and a frustrated consumer is asking, "What the hay?"
