Green Movement in Medicine

Bigstock_Green_Energy_Headlines_4090521 In the green movement now popularized in all forms of industry, from cars to windmills to home cleaners, there is a trend to" more natural"  That to be seen as green means more in keeping with Nature  That our mindbodies would be in concert with Her

This has been happening in the medical industry as well although we haven't really tagged it as a "green movement"  But there is a trend to reserve technology for more serious disease

But when we think about it, this movement toward more natuaral forms of healing is completely behind the desire for supplements and finding health in a pill, looking for ways to be healthy without having to have invasive procedures, leading to a better and more expanded group of services

For example, in prostate cancer there are lesions that can be managed in more conservative ways(watchful waiting) than more aggressive lesions

So when does the medical consumer choose the "greener" alternatives for medical care

            Prevention themes are a perfect place for green alternatives

            Selecting foods appropriate for one's mindbody makeup is a good place to start

            Confronted with a serious medical problem is NOT a place to use green alternatives

            Green alternatives can be used in support for technological medical care

Trouble Waking Up in the Morning? 6 Ways to Overcome Inertia

The morning blahs? The typical remedy? A cup of Joe, right? Or better yet, a caffeine timebomb in a can!

But why do they occur? And how can energy science guidance help us?

Betweeen 0600 and 1000 in the morning is a Kapha time  This implies a sluggishness, a degree of physiologic inertia that occurs during this time of day  Unfortunately this is the time that we are all waking up so this poses a problem

This sluggishness becomes even more accentuated during the Kapha season of winter when it's cold and easier just to stay in bed, just re-setting the alarm four or five times

At times the energy pattern of Vata is provoked and anxiety may occur making it difficult to move out of bed  The Pitta energy pattern when provoked may cause aching of muscles and joints leading to enhance the already lethargic state

So what to do? The key is MOVE and below are ways to overcome the physiologic inertia

            The secret to getting up at a time when the mindbody is ready to get going is go to bed early

            Preferable time for getting up is 5am before the Kapha sluggishness hits

            Having a morning routine is helpful to get the mindbody moving

            Exercising by 6am further accelerates the movement

            Eating little or a small breakfast of fruit lends to lightening the mindbody for the morning

            Warm and spicy foods are preferable nutrition during the winter months

I can't overemphasize the need to move even though we don't want to  What's going on energetically is reducing this Kapha provocation that's going on  That is, the slow/dull, stable/static, cold, heavy, liquid, and oily qualities that predominate during these hours of the day and season

The Biologic Energy Time Clock

The energy patterns of Vata Pitta and Kapha are observed everywhere in Nature  We observe Kapha dogs, Vata hummingbirds, Pitta lions  These energy patterns are involved also in how we view time

           Between 6am and 10am is a Kapha time  heavy, cold, slow/dull time; ? heavy breakfast

           Between 10am and 2pm is a Pitta time hot,sharp/penetrating time; best for day's big meal

           Between 2pm and 6pm is a Vata time     cold, light, mobile; good for activity

          Between 6pm and 10pm is a Kapha time heavy,cold,slow/dull time; good for winding down

           Between 10pm and 2am is a Pitta time  hot, sharp/penetrating time; body detox time

           Between 2am and 6am is a Vata time  cold, light, mobile; emotional detox time

 These vibrational frequencies  that are bolded are most prominent in Nature's physiology but we mirror them ourselves physiologically as well

Do you notice that you are hungry around noontime and late at night? Do you eat breakfast at times when you are really not hungry? Do you feel sharpest in the afternoon when working on projects?

Saving the Planet Through Nutrition

Carlin makes the point that Mother Earth has survived and will continue to survive despite us! We can't hurt Mom

And a mother supports her young tenaciously, unselfishly serves them, gives them what they need to survive 

Always

It's the children that mess it up  It's arrogant to think otherwise, says Carlin

What does this have to do with nutrition?

Mother Earth will take care of herself  We don't have to worry about her 

Mom may just have to say one day that the human species was an interesting experiment that didn't work out very well

We need to worry about ourselves and our own health and stop projecting our own ill health on Mother Earth

And the beginning baby steps are to start eating according to our mindbody makeup, avoiding food incompatabilities, and paying attention to our digestive system's health

Then we will have come a long way toward saving ourselves  Not Mother Earth

Here are some tips to avoid the winter doldrums

            Eat according to one's mindbody nutritional formats PV, PK, VK

            Avoid food incompatabilties

            Use of a churan to improve digestive fire by increasing the spices in your meals

            Pay attention to sleep patterns, rising early in the am and going to bed early in order to make getting up in the am(5-6am) possible

It seems that these tips seem repetitive and that's because they are!

Why is this?

Because energy science lifestyle choices consistently work for "all health conditions" no matter what they are

How could this be?

Because the energy science dictums are based on the fact that health begins to occur for us when we put ourselves into the rythms of Nature

It's just that simple  Since we are part of Nature, expressions of Nature, when we become one with Nature, we evolve the healing of our own physiologies

This works for nutrition and our rest patterns
